I was first introduced to the MBTI as a manager at Starwood over 15 years ago. It has been one of those unexpected tools that I have referred back to countless times since as a manager and in my personal life.

Whether you’ve already taken this test of you’ve never even heard of Myers Brigg, this lunch and learn will help change the way you deal with people, challanging the way you deal even with yourself.

Traditionally, the MBTI has always given people great insight to themselves, how they perceive the world and make decisions. But over our lunch and learn we will not only discuss how our preferences lead us but how you can help lead others through understand their preferences.

This is an exciting look at how psychology effect us all. A great session for anyone looking for a dynamic way to impact the world around them through understanding.

To find out more about MBTI, read through the Wikipedia page here, And if you have any questions, feel free to send me an email. You can sign up here before spots are gone.

Have you ever taken the Myers Brigg Type Indicator? What is your type?

Introducing Jobs at The Scarboro Golf and Country Club

on Tuesday, 29 January 2013.

Barber 060714 2703

We’re starting the year off right, introducing a new client to the site, Scarboro Golf and Country Club. A members-only club, based in (you guessed it!), Scarborough, this beautiful property was established in 1912.

Clubhouse manager, Daniel Beauregard, describes the clubs relationship with its members as a close knit family in an upscale, casual dining atmosphere. Members range in age and it’s not shocking to see a group of 30-something professionals catching an early morning tee time, followed by a group of retirees in their late 70’s.

Though open year round, hosting popular curling events and tournaments when it’s too cold to golf, summer is their busy season with every day golfing and regular weekend events, weddings and tournaments. Every year they re-staff for the season, often welcoming back staff who have been there for years. But like most seasonal businesses, turnover is expected and this year SGC has turned to Connect For The Best to help them fill their positions.

And we couldn’t be more thrilled. We know that the workers on our site will do an amazing job and that the positions, pay and environment will be a great opportunity for our workers.

The Scarboro Golf and Country Club will be posting an array of jobs from landscaping, to the pro shop to serving in their fine dining restaurant. We want to show them applicants who have experience in an upscale dining atmosphere and are looking to develop great relationships with their regular clients. And because The Scarboro Golf Club is not easily accessed by transit during all work hours, staff who live close by or drive will definitely be preferred.

As usual, continue logging in and keep an eye on job postings. We’ll repost all offers on Facebook and Twitter, so make sure you’re following us if you’re not already. We’re so excited for our workers to get to know the excellent staff and clients at the Scarborough Golf and Country Club.
